My inspiration for this blog came partially from Will Richardson’s book Why School?: How Education Must Change When Information and Learning Are Everywhere. He’s looking for a more meaningful way to define school in a time where we have gone from a world of information “scarcity” to a “world of abundance.” In this world everyone can be a journalist and everyone can speak a new language. The question remains. What’s the point of going to school to learn these things if you can get them off the internet when and where you want them?
